Share-card editor#

  • Desktop appAvailable in 0.2.8

The share-card editor is a full page under Create → Share cards. You can open it from:

  • Make a share card in a work's menu or on its page, and the button of the same name on the work's Tools page;
  • Create → Share cards. Until you choose a work it shows the full sample, and you can choose a work at any time;
  • Use in a share card in the Asset Library. Share-card materials are added as a layer; for an image that can also be a background, the editor asks whether to use it as the background or as an image layer;
  • a screenshot. "Share card" in the in-game menu and in the screenshot editor, and the screenshot setting that opens the share card after saving, open the landscape dialogue card with that screenshot.

Done, or a successful save, takes you back to the page you opened the editor from.

Share cards come in two sizes: portrait 1400×1750 PNG (layouts A–E, character templates and featured templates) and the landscape dialogue card, 1600×1000 PNG.

  • Templates: layouts A–E, character templates (古河渚 and 春日野穹), the landscape dialogue card and featured presets such as a showcase card, character traits and a sticker grid. Load full sample previews the whole card with example data; Use this work switches back to your records.
  • Card: theme, background (light canvas, winter illustration, sample illustration or your own image), replace or restore the cover, background position and brightness, glass opacity, card message, share date, and whether status, rating, playtime and a one-line review are drawn.
  • Materials: basic layers, mood and favorite stickers, the whole material library by category, and your own images and text. "Make materials from your own image" gives you a ready-to-copy prompt.
  • Layers: select a layer on the card to drag it. In the layer panel you can edit its text, font, size, color, horizontal or vertical writing, alignment, position, size, rotation and opacity, and move it up or down, hide, lock, duplicate or remove it (up to 100 layers).
  • Edit image (optional): select a sticker, material, image, photo, cover or screenshot layer and choose Edit image to change that picture with the eraser, the restore brush and rectangle or lasso selections (keep or remove the selection), with undo and redo, zoom and Reset to original. Use on card saves a separate edited copy: the material files and your uploaded originals are never changed, and Restore original image on the layer switches back at any time. The background can be edited the same way on the Card tab. Editing is never required to save a card.
  • Shortcuts: arrow keys nudge the position (hold Shift for bigger steps), Delete removes the selected layer, Ctrl+D duplicates it, Ctrl+Z / Ctrl+Y undo and redo. Locked layers can't be dragged or deleted.
  • Your templates: save, save as new and delete. A template remembers the layout, images, layer positions and its own numbering, never the work's records.

Text on the card (sample copy, material text and the work's status) is always Chinese, whatever the interface language. Materials come from the rebuilt Chinese material library; older materials in a saved template are switched to their rebuilt counterparts when it opens, with the text and pictures moved to the matching places. If a template uses a material that is no longer in the library or whose file is missing, the editor marks that layer with a dashed box, and saving first tells you that these layers won't be in the image; remove them or replace them with other materials.

Save, copy and numbering#

  • Save PNG, Save and copy, and Retry copy if copying to the clipboard failed; retrying doesn't advance the number again. Clipboard copy works on Windows.
  • Cards are numbered from 1 up to 999,999,999. The number goes up only after a successful save. If another window saved first, the editor loads the latest number and asks you to save again.
  • Files are named GalShelf-NNN-<title>-<id>.png. The default folder is share-cards next to the active account's library; you can choose another folder and open it from the editor.
  • Saved cards lists the cards you saved; copy one again or download a copy.

Screenshot editor#

After a screenshot (see Native tools) the editor opens over the frozen frame while the game keeps running:

  • Crop, rectangle mosaic, brush mosaic and mosaic suggestions, with full undo and redo (Ctrl+Z / Ctrl+Y); Reset returns to the picture the editor opened on, and can be undone too.
  • Optional Erase / cut out: eraser, restore brush, rectangle and lasso selections (keep or remove the selection). It has its own undo, redo and reset; once you choose Apply to screenshot, the whole erase is one step in the screenshot editor that you can undo at once, and later crops, mosaic and upscaling build on it. If you don't use it, capturing works exactly as before.
  • Upscale 2× or 4× on your computer with Real-ESRGAN. If the component is missing, the editor says so.
  • Recognise dialogue with Windows' built-in text recognition. It depends on the OCR languages installed in Windows, and the recognised text is used only after you confirm it.
  • Screenshots are saved in %LOCALAPPDATA%\GalShelf\screenshots\<work>\ with the date and time in the name. You can go straight on to make a share card.
  • Editing never changes the original capture: the result is saved as a copy, <name>-edited.png, in the same folder, and editing again replaces only that copy. In Create → Screenshots you can switch to the original, copy it, or restore it (which deletes only the copy).
