GalShelf is the main app. Galdrive and Galguard are companion apps released separately; each card says whether it can be downloaded now. This page never installs anything by itself.
GalShelf
Windows
Available
A local-first visual-novel shelf: organise your works, keep reading records, and manage saves and cloud saves.
This site doesn't host the package directly; published Windows versions are on the GalShelf release page.
The release page lists the package of every published version with its SHA-256 checksum; the desktop app checks the same place for updates.
Galdrive
Windows
Not available yet
A planned, separate small app for game saves only: setup, backup, restore and sync. It ships separately from GalShelf and cannot be downloaded yet; GalShelf's own cloud saves keep working without it.
There is nothing to download yet. This card never redirects, signs you up or installs anything.
Galguard
GalShelf Guard · Windows
Pre-release
GalShelf's standalone integrity, analysis and recovery companion (GalShelf Guard). It can also be downloaded, verified and installed from GalShelf's Settings › Privacy & Security.
Every Windows release offers two packages on the release page. Both come from the same build and use the same GalShelf.exe; they differ only in the optional components they include.
GalShelf Full (the file ending in -Full.zip): the complete, batteries-included experience, with Locale Emulator (Japanese-locale launching), Magpie (upscaling) and the share-card art library pre-installed and ready right after extracting. If you are unsure, choose Full.
GalShelf Lite (the file ending in -Lite.zip): a smaller download with the same features and nothing disabled. Optional tools can be associated from an installation you already have, or installed later through GalShelf.
In-app updates work for both: Full keeps its pre-installed tools and Lite stays lite.
Before you install
Extract the whole package, then start GalShelf.exe; keep the components folder (and, in the Full package, the modules folder) next to it.
On first use you can import local works straight away; linking accounts isn't required for local features.
The desktop app and the paired galbd bridge share one release manifest; don't mix bridge files from different release packages.
Verification and updates
The release page lists a SHA-256 checksum for every package, so you can check your download. The desktop app checks the same page for updates and verifies the release signature before installing.
