A work's Resources panel lists where to find it: VNDB, KUN Galgame (鲲 Galgame), Shionlib, Bangumi, TouchGal (site entry) and 誠也の部屋 guides. Each link is labelled as a confirmed entry page, a search page or unavailable. These are links only: opening the panel never downloads anything, and text from sources is shown as plain text.
TouchGal needs API keys configured by whoever runs the desktop app (in %LOCALAPPDATA%\GalShelf\private\touchgal.env); without them it is shown as "API key not configured" and can't be selected.
The resource list#

On a work's page, the card 下载资源与补丁 / Downloads and patches → 打开资源列表 / Open resource list opens the 资源列表 / Resources dialog:
- Source tabs: moyu 补丁 / moyu patches, KUN Galgame and TouchGal. 网盘分类 / Download hosts tabs group the entries by host.
- Cards show host, type, size, platform, language and whether the link is valid. KUN Galgame reports 有效 / Valid or 失效 / Expired; moyu doesn't report validity, so its entries say 未检测 / Not checked.
- Details show one resource with its notes; 返回列表 / Back to list returns to where you were.
In the classic interface the work's Resources tab shows a compact downloads-and-patches block, but it can't fetch download links.
Getting the final link#
Opening details never starts a download. For KUN Galgame, 获取下载链接 / Get download links asks the site for the links; this counts as a download on KUN Galgame. You then get Open download page (host) plus copy buttons for the extraction code and the archive password. moyu and TouchGal don't provide links, codes or passwords through their interfaces, so their entries offer Open the resource page on … instead.
Ad removal#

- Advertisements, trackers and executable markup are always removed from resource notes, and remote images are never shown inline.
- Other images in a note are offered as links that you open in your browser if you want to see them; promotional images and trackers are never offered.
- A legitimate game listing is not treated as an advertisement just because the game is adult-rated.
Concise notes#
Notes show the first three lines plus any lines with passwords, compatibility warnings or setup steps; 展开完整说明 / Show full notes shows the complete sanitised notes, and a line says how many items were cleaned out.
External fallback#
Links to hosts outside GalShelf's known list are shown as "external only" with the reason (for example "needs a dedicated download tool") and are never opened automatically. 报告失效 / Report invalid link opens the provider's own page, because no provider offers an anonymous reporting interface.
Where the data comes from#
- moyu patches come through the GalShelf service. When it isn't configured, they are read through the KUN Galgame forum's public mirror, and the list says so.
- KUN Galgame entries are matched to the work by catalogue ID only, never by title.
- TouchGal needs API keys.
- Very long moyu listings are read up to 21 pages.
Downloads with aria2#
- Desktop appAvailable in 0.2.8
- WebsiteNot applicable
The desktop app includes aria2 for direct downloads:
- Paste a direct HTTPS link you chose. Clipboard detection is optional and off by default.
- Pause, resume and cancel; tasks are paused after a restart.
- Downloaded files are never extracted or run automatically.
- You can enter the expected SHA-256; GalShelf then verifies the file and says "SHA-256 check passed" or reports the mismatch. Without one it says no source checksum was provided.
Safety#
Treat resource text and links as untrusted. GalShelf validates links before opening them and never runs downloaded files. A SHA-256 check confirms you received the file the source described, not that the file is safe.
